Our grapes come from over 6,000 hectares of planted vineyards and blended in our wineries across three of the renowned wine regions - Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay, and Gisborne - and our wines are exported globally. From grape to glass, we’re passionate about wine and we love what we do!

The Role

As we gear up for Vintage 2026, we have opportunities for Laboratory Technicians to join our vintage team at our Gisborne Winery.

For the team at the heart of this annual experience, there’s much more to be made in addition to wine.  You'll make great friends (it'll feel like family by the end), good money, new skills and incredible memories.  That's just a taste of what you can look forward to making when you're part of our vintage crew.     

We might be bragging, but our winery lab is industry-leading, with state-of-the-art technology and a proud team who boast proficiency scores in the top percentile in the country. Our lab has it all, and a dedicated, accurate team is at the core of it. 

• In this role you will be responsible for grape maturity analysis, sampling and testing ferments, and other analyses consistent with industry best practice                                                                                             
• These will be full time, fixed term roles to support with our seasonal Vintage requirements, which are typically between mid-February and late-March

About you

• Lab experience in a previous workplace, a university lab or a winery
• Committed and high-performing as the rest of the team
• We work under high pressure and tight deadlines during vintage, so you’ll need to thrive in that environment, work well in a team and be physically fit

What else to expect?

• You’ll need to be available to work shifts of up to 12 hours, 6 days per week, at vintage peak  
• You need to be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol test
