The Role

We’re looking for a skilled Systems Accountant to play a key role in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of our financial systems and data. This position sits at the heart of our finance transformation journey, ensuring our systems support timely reporting, streamlined processes, and strong data governance.
You’ll bridge the gap between Finance and Technology; managing, maintaining, and improving core financial systems while contributing to strategic business initiatives. This role reports into the Head of Business Planning, Reporting and Commercial/Financial Controller and works closely with stakeholders across Finance and Technology.


What you’ll be doing

•    Maintain and support core finance systems (e.g. ERP, planning & reporting, accounts payable, and expense management platforms), ensuring reliability and performance.
•    Partner with Technology teams to manage system upgrades, testing, new features, and integrations with other organisational tools.
•    Troubleshoot financial system issues and provide ongoing user support and training to ensure effective system adoption.
•    Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support finance and business decision-making.
•    Identify and implement system and process improvements, leveraging automation and technology to increase efficiency.
•    Ensure strong data and systems governance, including master data management, system audits, security, and access controls.
•    Support finance transformation initiatives and provide ad-hoc data analysis to assist the wider Finance team.
•    Act as the key liaison between Finance, Technology, and external system providers to align systems with business needs.

About you

•    Minimum of two years of experience working with financial systems, ideally including ERP or planning/reporting tools.
•    Strong understanding of finance processes and data structures.
•    The ability to troubleshoot system issues and partner effectively with technology teams.
•    Experience in system upgrades, testing, and implementation.
•    A continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying and delivering process or system enhancements.
•    Strong communication skills, with the confidence to train users and liaise across multiple teams.
•    A structured approach to documentation, governance, and data integrity.
•    Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support financial reporting needs.
