The Role
We are looking for a lab technician in our Hawkes Bay Winery to provide high-quality analytical data to support internal production as well as external customers. You’ll be supporting a high-throughput production environment where rigorous quality control is essential. You’ll be working with a team that works to a high standard.
This is a full time, permanent role and will be based at our Hawkes Bay Winery.
What you’ll be doing
- Conduct chemical and microbiological analyses on grape juice and wine
- Adhere to stringent protocols for monitoring the accuracy and precision of data
- Support daily lab operations such as sampling, cleaning, record keeping and data entry
- Conducting routine instrument calibration, maintenance and servicing
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About you
In addition to previous experience managing a laboratory, you will bring -
• A positive, collaborative supervisory approach
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with teams across the winery
• Aptitude to utilise Excel and learn our bespoke winery system
• Quality control experience
• Passion to support your team to be their best and to improve and optimise the laboratory
