The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity as a Junior Developer to help bring cutting-edge technology to life across our winery operations.  In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving our tech strategy by designing, coding, testing, implementing and maintaining software tools and applications that keep our winery running at its best.

 

You’ll get hands-on experience, real ownership, and the chance to shape innovative solutions in a forward-thinking environment.  You’ll be able to identify and resolve software-related issues. You’ll work closely with senior developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand and implement new features.

This role is based in Blenheim. 

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring –

  • A formal qualification in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 months to 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong technical skills across:

-SQL & PostgreSQL

-Java & Spring Boot

-TypeScript

-Python & Django

-AWS

  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving ability, with a willingness to dive into unfamiliar systems
  • A growth mindset and genuine enthusiasm for learning new tools, technologies, and domain knowledge
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
