Key Responsibilities

In this varied role you will perform winemaking operations in our cellar, from receiving grapes to crushing, pressing, fermentation and clarification, right through to dispatch –

  • Assemble blends with instructions from our winemakers
  • Mix and coordinate additives for our juice and wine ferments
  • Liaise with our winemakers and production teams
  • Operate our winery equipment, such as pumps, lees filters and flow meters
  • Coordinate winemaking job orders to ensure they are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Prioritise safety for yourself, your team and the wider winery
  • Regular operating hours are 7am – 3.15pm

The Gisborne Winery is steeped in history and helped build the New Zealand wine industry. The years of experience, experimentation, changes and research have made an indelible mark on the New Zealand wine industry.

Enjoy varied exposure across different winemaking techniques and grapes; we produce sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot gris, pinot noir, rose and sparkling.
