About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Vineyard Manager to support our Viticulture team based in the Awatere Valley. As a leader, you will be expected to live by our values, promoting “Safety by Choice, Not by Chance” in ensuring all viticulture tasks are carried out safely. You will actively support the Regional Area Manager to deliver the Viticulture specifications in relation to quantity, quality, cost, and compliance ensuring that the vineyard work programme is successfully completed.  The leader in this role will oversee the implementation of operational activities in line with the agreed plan.

 

What you need to be successful

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • have supervisory experience (leadership, training, coaching and performance)
  • be solutions orientated with the ability to trouble shoot and support a busy operational team
  • have the relevant technical competency and the ability to learn new tools, systems and processes
  • be able to identify improvements in systems and process to reduce cost of production or increase yield
  • have great communication and interpersonal skills
  • have a quality driven approach
